She never missed a beat. The silver-haired lady sitting directly in front of me waved her hand back and forth to the rhythm of our music, keeping perfect time. She may not have realized it, but she was conducting our string quartet. Her name was Glenda, and she had attended every one of our performances at Marlinda Convalescent Hospital.
